Montessori Methodology

We firmly believe in María Montessori and her pedagogy, that is why we faithfully follow her educational principles.

 

The child in JMIS

    He feels respected and listened to. He follows his own rhythm thanks to his inner guide. He receives stimuli and support according to his level of development and his sensitive periods. He is trained in a bilingual education that, thanks to his absorbing mind, helps him acquire a second language. in a natural and comprehensive way. You are free to follow your interests and explore the world, accepting limits for the common good. You learn to work in community and communicate with others positively in an environment of mutual respect.

           

The adult in IMSJ:

    He has training in Montessori pedagogy. He transmits calm and tranquility. He prepares, maintains and enriches the environment for the child. He respects the child, his space, his needs, his interests and his freedom. He is in continuous learning and growth. He teaches by his example. Take care of your concentration. Preserve the peace of the group.

 

The atmosphere at JMIS:

    It is designed for the child, offering opportunities to learn. It allows exploration, manipulation, repetition, accuracy, order, orientation, work, communication and creativity. Teaching material that fulfills a purpose, made to capture the child's curiosity, guide him through the I wish to learn. The materials allow learning to begin with concrete experiences. The work is not divided into fixed periods but rather the lessons are taught in small groups or individually. The Living Room

 

JMIS families:

    They have a fundamental role in the school and are invited to carry out workshops and activities. They receive continuous support and accompaniment for respectful parenting.
